Mistakes to avoid during a fixer-upper!
- Not having a consistent design: When you do a remodel, you don’t want to use all different types of building materials and mix and match products. It's always best to have a nice consistent flow throughout the property.
- Using Bold and Bright Colors: When it comes to paint colors, neutrals are best! Going with colors like bright yellow, or bright orange usually does not appeal to a large number of candidates and will often give tenants and buyers a hard time imagining themselves living there.
- Hiring under-qualified and unlicensed individuals: We never recommend hiring a candidate who is not licensed and insured. Trade licenses are here to protect the consumer, so it doesn’t make sense to hire a handyman to install trade-specific items and risk the chance of a problem down the road.
